MyHSK is a content-first learning app. There are no accounts, no databases, no analytics, and no tracking. Everything you do stays on your device.

Your learning data

Vocabulary status, character mastery, preferences, streaks, and learning history are stored only in your browser's local storage. You can export a backup from Settings, delete it from your browser, or wipe it by clearing site data. Nothing is uploaded.

Audio

Pre-generated recordings are served as static files. When a clip is missing, MyHSK may send the Chinese text you tapped to Cloudflare Workers AI to synthesize speech on demand. The text is used only to produce audio and is not stored or used for any other purpose. If you prefer not to send text, you can use your device's built-in Mandarin voice instead; MyHSK never sends anything when a device voice is available and selected.

Hosting

The app is hosted by Cloudflare. Standard request logs (such as timestamps and IP addresses) are handled by Cloudflare's normal web hosting terms. MyHSK itself sets no cookies and runs no tracking scripts.
